Abstract

Key messages highlighted in this brief include: Strengthening the participation of stakeholders in planning and implementing crossbreeding programs will reduce the loss of indigenous breeding stock; and Stakeholder involvement in planning and management is expected to lead to more realistic and effective policies and plans, as well as improve their implementation.
