dc.description.abstract | This overview outlines the current situation, main undertaking to launch the Pan-African
Programme for the Control of Epizootics (PACE) in East Africa, since its inception.
The national PACE projects in the region were gradually launched and, consequently,
this paper indicates their state of progress.
The 0A11-1BAR has appointed a member of its staff to the post of PACE Programme
Coordinator and the programme began on 1 November 1999, with the arrival of the Main
Technical Assistant as stipulated in the Financing Agreement. The financial Controller
arrived early November 1999. The financial support ends on 31 October 2004 with a
financial support of 72 millions Euros. | |
