The study assessed the identified Regional and Global Instruments as to their status of ratification;, Domestication and Implementation by AU-MSs, and proposes solutions to the challenges faced by AU-MSs adopting and deploying these Instruments. The study identified 55 Instruments as being relevant to conservation of aquatic biodiversity in Africa, 37 are Global while 18 are Regional
