Abstract
Within the framework of the African Blue Economy Strategy (ABES), and with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the African Union- Inter African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) implemented a three-year project on “Conserving Aquatic Biodiversity and Ecosystems in the Context of the African Blue Economy Strategy. The study aimed to conduct a preliminary socio-economic livelihood assessment in five communities within the Keta landscape in Ghana, which constitutes the Dusorno Community Resource Management Area (CREMA). These communities include Klonu, Galo, Galotse, Sota, and Korsikorpe. The objectives of the study aimed to identify and prioritize livelihood options that will best support their efforts in conserving and restoring mangrove ecosystems.
