Abstract
The Pan-African Strategy for the Elimination of Rabies in Africa (PASERA) sets out clear priorities to accelerate progress, including coordinated mass dog vaccination, expanded access to post-exposure prophylaxis, strengthened surveillance and diagnostic systems, community engagement, and sustainable resource mobilization. It further emphasizes regional coordination, cross-border collaboration, and data-driven decision-making as critical enablers of success.
