dc.description.abstractEgyptian strategy 2023 for fish production is producing 3 Million metric tonnes, Egypt has achieved extraordinary success in developing its tilapia aquaculture sub-sector over the last two decades to a total production of 1.1 million metric tonnes in 2022, and the constituting 61% of national fish supply, 81% of African tilapia production and ranked as the third largest tilapia producer in the world. African countries with suitable inland water bodies are on the brink of a tilapia aquaculture boom which can be accelerated by learning from Egypt’s experience and expertise.en
