The present guide pertains to the Africa Platform for Animal Welfare (APAW), which is a proposed continental multi-stakeholder's platform led by AU-IBAR. The platform aims to bring together various stakeholders such as veterinary authorities, animal production and development authorities, donors, development and technical partners, relevant Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), training institutions, research institutions, and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). The assumed responsibility pertains to the decision-making and implementation functions of AWSA, as well as the corresponding action plan.
