dc.description.abstractThe African Union endorsed the Africa Blue Economy Strategy (ABES) in February 2020 as a continental framework to promote the sustainable use of aquatic ecosystems while supporting livelihood, socioeconomic transformation, and food security. In support of this framework, AU-IBAR, with financial support from SIDA, is implementing the project “Conserving Aquatic Biodiversity in the African Blue Economy.”
