dc.description.abstractThis continental stocktaking study was conducted under the Catalyzing Transformation towards Sustainable Livestock Systems (LiveSys) project, which aims to promote sustainable, resilient, and nature-positive livestock food systems and biodiversity protection across Africa and selected regions. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), with support from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and is implemented jointly by the African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR), the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), and the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT.en
