Abstract
Studies were conducted to identify priority issues and actions for sustainable coastal, marine tourism and mining activities for aquatic biodiversity conservation and environment protection. The studies culminated in the development of a framework for sustainable environmental coastal and marine tourism, oil and gas exploration and mineral mining for the AU member states and regional economic communities.
Description
The consultancy was undertaken by the Professor Bernerd Fulanda, PWANI UNIVERSITY, KENYA, who developed these policy measures for sustainable coastal, marine tourism and mining activities for aquatic biodiversity conservation and environment protection in Kenya. Several experts also contributed immensely to the identifications of the policy measures during the national stakeholders’ workshop.
